GOD’S COVENANT-HIS GIFT OF LOVE TO US-“We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

LET US RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE REALITY OF THE RESURRECTION!

It has been said that the Gospels give us a snapshot picture of what Jesus did for us and that Paul gave us an x-ray of what the life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension did for us! Today and everyday let us prayerfully meditate on what Jesus did for us! More important, let each of us receive (make it our own) it and walk in the NEWNESS OF LIFE! In the Greek newness of life means “life of a new quality, being a new creation, to behave consistently with this in contrast to our former manner of life. The phrase stands for the new life of the quickened spirit of the believer, it is impossible to dissociate this from the operation of the Holy Spirit, by whose power the newness is rendered.”

Two of my favorite verses regarding resurrection power which is available to EACH AND EVERYONE OF US are:

“And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places]” (Ephesians 1:19-20)

“[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power out flowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]” (Philippians 3:10)

See that Paul says that we have the resurrection power in us and for us! It is no wonder he then states that his main objective is to know the out flowing of the resurrection power. How? Through becoming progressively more deeply and intimately acquainting himself with Jesus and thus perceiving, recognizing and understanding the wonders of Jesus and what he accomplished for us!

The word power in both verses is the Greek word “dunamis”. It means miraculous power, mighty works, ability, miracle worker, etc…. It is God’s power in action!

BELIEVERS, BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS DID FOR US, THAT POWER IS AVAILABLE TO EACH OF US! IN EPHESIANS 3:10 PAUL GIVES US A VITAL KEY INTO TAPPING INTO AND WALKING IN THAT POWER! ALSO, SEE JOHN 14:12!

TODAY, LET US PURPOSE AND RESOLVE TO OBTAIN AND WALK IN THE POWER OF THE VICTORY THAT JESUS GAVE US!

MAY EVERYDAY BE FILLED WITH RESURRECTION POWER!
WE LOVE YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS! WALLY& JAN
