GOD’S COVENANT OF THE POWER OF HIS WORD- “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” (Ephesians 2:10)

We have been talking about the importance of making the Word of God first and foremost in our lives and the absolute final authority in every situation and circumstance. Consider our scripture today. It is full of the glory and power of the Living God as it relates to each one of us and that includes YOU, whoever and wherever you are!
We could say it like this. ““For I am God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), I am recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that I may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for me [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that I should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for me to live].”
You are God’s handiwork! You are recreated (born anew) in Jesus! Why? That you may do the good works that God predestined for you! He prepared paths for you ahead of time! For what purpose? That you should walk in them! God prearranged a good life and made it ready for me to live in it!
I have a question. How does this picture of God’s plan for our lives compare to our lives? In my life, I have a lot of room to see the manifestation of this glorious declaration that Paul wrote of. Where is the disconnect or the short circuit between what God promised and what I experience? (It is true that we may see glimpses of this life that God has for us, but I am willing to say that most of us live far beneath it.)
The key word here is walk. We need to walk out the word in willing obedience and active faith. The degree to which we do that will determine the degree that we experience God’s best for us! The Greek word for “walk” means to tread all around and to walk at large as proof of ability.
How important is God’s word to Him? Look at what He declares in Psalm 138:2.
“You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name!”
How important was God’s word to Jesus? Let’s look at John 5:10. “So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].” (HOW DO WE SEE AND KNOW GOD? THROUGH HIS WORD)
How important did Jesus say the word of God is to us? John 8:31-32. “So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”
Let us let the word of God stir us up to the depths of our being like never before! IT IS TIME TO STEP UP TO A HIGHER PLACE AND BEGIN TO WALK IN THE POWER AND REVELATION OF GOD ON A DAILY BASIS! AS WE MAKE OURSELVES AVAILABLE TO GOD IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND MEDIATATION OF HIS WORD AND THROUGH CORRESPONDING PRAYER, HE WILL BEGIN TO TAKE US ON THE PATH THAT HE HAS ALREADY PREPARED THAT WE SHOULD WALK!
We love you. Be blessed. May the God of light fill your hearts and lives with light and liberty!
A Guiding factor is always: THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND!
WE LOVE YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS- WALLY & JAN
TREASURES OF WALKING WITH GOD: “O GOD, YOU ARE MY GOD, EARNESTLY I SEEK YOU.” (Psalm 63:1) It is only when I am wholly surrendered to the Spirit that I will be able to live according to God’s will.
