GOD’S COVENANT- THE REALITY OF REDEMPTION: “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].” John 14:12-14

LET US ALL DESIRE AND PURPOSE TO WALK IN THE PURPOSE AND POWER OF REDEMPTION:
Last time we looked at the power that God bestowed upon us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. WHAT A GLORIOUS REVELATION TO BELEIVERS-TO YOU AND ME-TO THOSE WHO STEADFASTLY BELIEVE IN JESUS! WHAT GOOD NEWS IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS!

Over the past few weeks we learned that we have been redeemed from the curse and bondage of the law and from the power of the world and Satan. We also learned that Jesus sacrificed Himself for us so that the blessing of Abraham would come upon us. But that is not all. Look at Galatians 3:14 again. “To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit.”

WE NOT ONLY HAVE RECEIVED REDEMPTION AND THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM BUT WE ALSO HAVE RECEIVED ALL OF THE POWER THAT IS OF THE VERY SPIRIT OF GOD!

Look again at Acts 1:8. “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.”

Often, I have led groups of believers and individuals in the following confession. (Let’s say it together as we read it) “I believe that the word of God is true. I can do what it says that I can do. I am who it says I am. I can have what it says I can have. The Word of God works in EVERY area of my life.

Do you believe what you just said? If you said yes, let’s see. Let’s now say what Jesus said to us. “I am an “anyone”. Because I steadfastly believe in Jesus I can do the things that Jesus did. In fact, I can do greater things because Jesus went to sit down at the right hand of His Father after He finished His work. His earthly ministry and His Spirit together with all of its mighty power have been given to me to carry on the work of the Kingdom. In the Name of Jesus, I will drive out demons, I will speak in new tongues, I will lay hands on the sick and they shall get well. I will endeavor to see that the Good News-The Gospel is openly preached and published to and for every creature of the whole human race. Jesus will grant me whatever I ask in His Name so that the Father may be glorified. I have the life of God and enjoy that life and have it in abundance.”
(John 14:12-14, Mark 16:15-18, John 10:10)

We have learned that the Word of God is truth and that truth is reality. Today we confessed that we are everything that the Word says we are; we have it everything that the Word says we have and that we can do everything that the Word says we can and that the Word of God works in every area of our lives!

To all you believers, to all you “anyones”, to all who thirst after the things of God, to all who desire to walk in the life of God in overflowing abundance, I declare to you by the Spirit of the Almighty and Living God that the Gospel-The Good News-that the reality of Christ’s redemptive work-that the power that Jesus Himself said we would have IS FOR YOU!
With faith, joy and constant expectancy let’s look again at what the Angels told the shepherds and all of us.

“But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people.” (Luke 2:10) Prayerfully meditate on who you are and what you have IN Christ. If you believe it, it is all yours because of what Jesus did for you at the cross!
WE LOVE YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS- WALLY & JAN
TREASURES OF WALKING WITH GOD: “O GOD, YOU ARE MY GOD, EARNESTLY I SEEK YOU.” (Psalm 63:1) It is only when I am wholly surrendered to the Spirit that I will be able to live according to God’s will and walk in His power.
